Notification of Known or Potential Service Line Containing Lead
The City of Ransom is required to notify all water system users of the potential for service lines to contain lead. Surveys were sent to all water users. Users had the right to refuse. Anyone refusing the survey, not returning the survey, or marking "unknown" for their lines will continue to receive the KDHE trifold until they complete the survey.

2025 Important Information About Your Drinking Water
Anyone who failed to return their home plumbing survey, who opted to refuse, or who marked “unknown” on the survey this is considered lead until proven otherwise. If you wish to complete the survey it is available on the city’s website cityofransomks.gov or you can stop by the City Office and pick one up. Please note that the City has no lead lines on the city side of water lines. The City of Ransom has mailed the trifold document to all sites with lead, galvanized requiring replacement or unknown service lines in 2024 and also in 2025. This trifold is also posted on the city’s website. The document Important Information About Your Drinking Water was sent to all residents in 2024 and 2025 and is posted on our website.
